When There Is Life, There Is Hope
When There Is Life, There Is Hope is the second painting in my Genesis Collection, a body of work that explores the miracle of life before birth and the profound truth that every living creature shares the same beginning.
This piece was born from a simple yet powerful realization: hope exists wherever life exists.
Whether human or animal, every journey begins in silence, hidden from the world, delicate yet full of limitless possibility. Before strength is revealed, before purpose is discovered, before a single step is taken, there is life. And where there is life, there is always hope.
The two unborn tiger cubs symbolize far more than the beauty of one of nature's most powerful animals. Tigers embody courage, resilience, protection, and determination, yet even these magnificent creatures begin in complete vulnerability. Their story reminds us that greatness is never inherited at birth, it grows from the quiet miracle of a beginning.
Creating this painting became especially meaningful because it was the first artwork in the collection that my two daughters helped bring to life. Their small hands touched the canvas before mine, making this piece a reflection not only of creation, but of family, legacy, and the generations that shape one another through love.
As a Certified Veterinary Technician, I have always been fascinated by the intricate beauty of animal anatomy and the wonder of life before birth. Combined with my faith, my experiences of motherhood, and the heartbreak of pregnancy loss, these moments inspired Genesis, a collection that honors the extraordinary gift of life shared by every species.
When There Is Life, There Is Hope invites the viewer to pause and remember that every life, no matter how fragile its beginning may seem, carries within it the possibility of strength, purpose, and transformation.
It is a celebration of hope, not as an idea, but as something that begins with life itself.
